“Be Creative” is the maiden creating writing competition organized by the Alex Ekwueme Federal Uniersity’s Creative Writers Association, also known as AE-FUNAI CREW. Prof G.M.T Emezue and Dr Onyebuchi Nwosu are the founding matron and patron of this Students’ association, which major goal is to foster and nurture creative writing skills amongst the students of the University. Under the student leadership of Uche Agbo (2016-2017 session), the association successfully organized a creative writing competition amongst students in all the Secondary and tertiary institutions in the South Eastern Nigeria. “Be creative” was the event that anchored the grand finale, which was held at the University’s auditorium on 6th of February, 2017. During this event, gifts and prizes were given to winners. The special guest of honour was Mr Peter Obi.
