As the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Prof G.M.T Emezue initiated the annual Faculty conference. Towards the actualization of this vision, she set up a committee, chaired by Dr Arua Oko Omaka. She worked closely with the committee and on 30th October to 2nd November 2017, the Faculty of Humanities held her first conference on the theme: “Migrations and Human Experiences in the 21st Century.”
The key notes were given by Tony Elumelu of the Tony Elumelu Foundation, who was ably represented by his Chief Executive Officer, Mr Nnorom and Prof Chima Korieh of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
